PebblePad Mobile

There are four ways you can use mobile devices with your PebblePad account:

Pebble Mobile to access a very simple version of PebblePad via the browser on any mobile device
PebblePad iPhone to access PebblePad from your Apple IPhone or iPod Touch (2nd generation)
PebblePDA the program designed to operate on Windows Mobile PDA’s and Smartphones
Pebble SendR the java-based file upload tool compatible with most mobile devices

All installations of PebblePad include a version of Pebble Mobile. To access your mobile version of PebblePad simply point your mobile browser at your normal PebblePad URL and add ‘/mobile’ at the end e.g.:

PebblePad iPhone


PebblePad iPhone is an application for your Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch (2nd generation) running firmware version 3 or higher which allows basic access to your PebblePad account. More information is available via the following page: http://www.pebblepad.co.uk/iphone.asp

PebblePad iPhone PDF Filetipsheet (PDF)

PebblePDA


This is designed to work with Windows Mobile 2003 or above.

The installation is via an exe file which you run on a PC and then use Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Centre (for Windows Vista) to install on your mobile device. Follow your device instructions for how to do this.

You can download PebblePDA directly to your device as a CAB file. To do this point your mobile browser at http://www.pebblepad.co.uk/mobiledata/PebblePDA.CAB

This update includes minor fixes and the removal of the form component. If you wish to continue to use forms on your mobile device please use Pebble Mobile

Note: When updating the PebblePDA on your device you do not need to remove the previous version, simply run the exe file and it will remove it for you.

Pebble SendR


This is a simple java application which you download and run on your phone. Once installed you can select any file on your phone and upload it directly to your PebblePad account.

Download Pebble SendR directly to your mobile. To do this point your mobile browser at http://www.pebblepad.co.uk/mobiledata/SendR.jad

This application is compatible with devices installed with java midp2.


Mobile uses and Single Sign On

For users who normally access PebblePad using a single sign on / single click from another program e.g. Blackboard or Portal you will need to add a password to PebblePad in the settings section (tools > settings > preferences) for any of the mobile methods to work.
